Brand new from o2 this month are the on and on tariffs designed exclusively for internet phones like the Apple iPhone. New data limits, extra minutes and the obvious unlimited texts all designed to tempt customers back away from the likes of T-Mobiles full monty plan and Threes all you can eat data.
Named as on & on tariffs it takes us back to the old Ariston adverts without the washing machines. O2 have seen there existing customers flock to upgrade even those who have been waiting for the rumored iPhone 5. We spoke to the upgrade department ourselves and they confirmed just how popular they are. “I have never done as many handset upgrades in one day before” said Jane, the O2 rep we spoke to. “the on and on tariffs give you much more internet than our previous deals and iPhones are also free”.
Compared to the average user needing less than 250mb a month the inclusive 1gb is more than enough. With all phones including HTC, Samsung and iPhone all free you also have lots of choice.
Have o2 on an on tariffs finally got the global telefonica brand back on track with new customers only time will tell but as a starting point for recovery they ain’t half bad.

These on & on o2 deals are for handset contracts only, no sim only versions currently exist and our chat with the o2 rep revealed no plans for any from what she had heard. But that is the point since they are to compete with the other networks high value tariffs. A shame for sure but not the end of the world. When things go well o2 have a habit of making the most of them so you might only have to wait till the summer to get your wish. For now prices are just as low as sim onlys so check them out and consider a high value low cost iPhone contract that goes on and on.
